Scarfs for the Special Olympics

I am in a few loom knitting groups on Facebook. And one group ( cant remember which one) posted about Scarfs for the Special Olympics.  At that second I wanted to make some. I love helping people, when I can. Red Heart yarn is a sponsor. So the yarn people have to make the scarfs with has to be red yarn. The colors for the 2012 Special Olympics are    Red Heart Super Saver Cherry Red 0319,  Red Heart Super Saver Soft Navy 0387,  Red Heart Soft Navy 4604,  Red Heart Soft Really Red 9925 Beautiful colors. Deadlines for this year are fast approaching. People who want to make scarfs can send them to the state they live in. Rhode Island only has 26 scarfs. So I plan to make 4 by their deadline , Feb 11. Shipping only takes one day so I have some time to make them. The colors for 2013 will be announced in April. Can't wait to start looming  :)  I want to make about 3-4 a month for them. Red Heart yarn is less than $4 at ...

YOP year 5? Seriously?

I can't believe it's year 5 already....... this is my 3rd year participating. The last few days have been productive for me .I made a schedule for the next few months so I stay on track. I STARTED and  FINISHED the Zero lovey that was part of my hook challenge. It will be given to my cousin Ryder ( I really like that name ) due in October. I played with the pictures a little in editing. Its something different. ****** I got on the C2C bandwagon and started a few of my own. It is so addicting!! I love this!  I ran out of yarn for this one........ so I started this one. ( full skein not pictured)  ****** Also, I "dusted off" the Boston Bruin Blanket squares and started sewing them together. Its a bit tricking as you can see.... Why do I punish myself.. hehe my full project list can be found here .
