I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend. My fiance had the weekend off so I was unable to get to the computer and post week 39 and it was a good week, I got a lot done! here is week 39..... I made this cutie to remember my mom's pug Max. He would be 17 this April. My step dad had to place him in a Pug Rescue when it was time for my mom to go to a hospice 5 years ago when she had cancer.  And a few more Hook Challenge projects crossed of my list I used an F hook for this Gingerbread man bust And I used an I hook for these bunny coasters . I made these for my fiance and my Easter dinner . (Tater Tot casserole....mmmm) I also learned a new stitch  that was on my list... Standing Double Crochet. that post is HERE *************************  Week 40 was just as good a week..... I am almost finished the Stewie Amigurumi. 3 down 9 to go.  I am making a curtain for my porch. For the 2 windows I want to cover (bott...

YOP5 week 34

Motivation to finish my list is highly needed!! My hook challenge isn't doing too well. All those projects are holiday related and I've missed a few. Its silly to make Christmas items a few weeks before St, Patrick's day . But I did FINISH something thing week!! Guess how many skeins it took to finish this blanket?

YOP year 5? Seriously?

I can't believe it's year 5 already....... this is my 3rd year participating. The last few days have been productive for me .I made a schedule for the next few months so I stay on track. I STARTED and  FINISHED the Zero lovey that was part of my hook challenge. It will be given to my cousin Ryder ( I really like that name ) due in October. I played with the pictures a little in editing. Its something different. ****** I got on the C2C bandwagon and started a few of my own. It is so addicting!! I love this!  I ran out of yarn for this one........ so I started this one. ( full skein not pictured)  ****** Also, I "dusted off" the Boston Bruin Blanket squares and started sewing them together. Its a bit tricking as you can see.... Why do I punish myself.. hehe my full project list can be found here .

YOP 4 week 48

Welcome to the last day of May. In 30 days YOP 5 will begin. Is your list ready? Probably not :) and that's ok. My year 5 list is gonna be crazy. Not just projects but I want to teach myself a few things on this journey. But there is a hook challenge I need to finish first. For my J hook I made a Big Ass Octopus ( pattern by Charlotte W .) I also used a g ( 4.5mm ) hook. This was the only pattern I liked ( and wanted to make) that wasn't a scarf, cowl, or basket. I also wanted to make another Amigurumi ( this makes 4 for YOP) . Her head is HUGE  :) but o so cute. I just need to finish the tentacles , add her eyes and sew her together.  For my N hook I wanted to make something other than a cowl, basket or scarf, Like the L .  I haven't used PLARN so this was a great challenge. I had a project queued up but once I started I didn't like it so I went the extremely easy route and made a granny square. I used small doggie poo bags. I bough...

YOP 4 week 47

I AM DONE WITH THE SQUARES for the Boston Bruins Blanket!!!!!!!! It was fun making them but the project is coming to an end. I have to block them and sew them together. But that can wait a few months. The squares take up less room than the blanket would . Doesn't look like much does it?  I have 2 gallon size bags of the 2 in squares. you can see one of them on the bottom. The other bag separates the yellow.  Pretty!  I am glad I made the solid granny instead of the traditional.  Like I mentioned in a past post, I am going to make numbers to add to the blanket for my favorite players. I believe I will have enough room.  Hook Challenge update : I have a few projects to go. I have to stop switching out projects. I just want to be able to say I finished. Unlike last year and YOP5 I will be adding more .  I made this Remembrance Poppy a few days ago. I used an F hook. Ive been using that hook alot for the Lily Pond Blanket....

WIP - YOP week 37

After months of looking for the right K hook project for my hook challenge, I finally found something. I found this pattern on ravelry .  Candy Apple Fall Cabled Baguette . I need a new bag badly so this perfect. I am using yarn from my stash. I've had it for about a year. Lion Brand Hometown U.S.A. in Minneapolis Purple. There only a few rows to go.  I will be stitching to black for the trim and handle.

Finished Friday - With Hope Scarf

This scarf only took a week to make. I LOVE IT!!  I can't wait to wear it everywhere I go!

Yop4: week 32

There aren't that many weeks left for YOP ( a year of projects ) . My list has been edited a few times and I also have a 15 in 2015 list ( not part of YOP) . That list if for the patterns I bought last year. I figured its time to make a dent in the list.  Last week I started a project for my hook challenge...  With Hope Scarf  . This is one of the projects I added since I didn't like the other project any more. I used a J Hook and Dark Orchid yarn by Red Heart.  Some how I missed 2 arches. The pattern called for 21 and I make 19. I have no idea how I did that. But it worked out well. Its not too short.  The pattern is easy and fun.  crochet hook made by PukaPeyDesigns on facebook!
