YOP 4 week 48

Welcome to the last day of May. In 30 days YOP 5 will begin. Is your list ready? Probably not :) and that's ok.
My year 5 list is gonna be crazy. Not just projects but I want to teach myself a few things on this journey.
But there is a hook challenge I need to finish first.

For my J hook I made a Big Ass Octopus ( pattern by Charlotte W.) I also used a g ( 4.5mm ) hook.
This was the only pattern I liked ( and wanted to make) that wasn't a scarf, cowl, or basket. I also wanted to make another Amigurumi ( this makes 4 for YOP) .

Her head is HUGE :) but o so cute. I just need to finish the tentacles , add her eyes and sew her together.

For my N hook I wanted to make something other than a cowl, basket or scarf, Like the L .
I haven't used PLARN so this was a great challenge. I had a project queued up but once I started I didn't like it so I went the extremely easy route and made a granny square.

I used small doggie poo bags. I bought them to clean out my cat's litter box. I used 8 bags with 9 strips each.

And lastly, I taught myself Tunisian crochet. thanks to BethinTX1   .
I chose the Social Media coasters as my project. The project calls for a size 10 hook and the largest i have is a 5.5 ( I hook) . so my "coaster " is a wee bit small. But I like it.

YOP5 week 34

Motivation to finish my list is highly needed!! My hook challenge isn't doing too well. All those projects are holiday related and I've missed a few. Its silly to make Christmas items a few weeks before St, Patrick's day . But I did FINISH something thing week!! Guess how many skeins it took to finish this blanket?

YOP year 5? Seriously?

I can't believe it's year 5 already....... this is my 3rd year participating. The last few days have been productive for me .I made a schedule for the next few months so I stay on track. I STARTED and  FINISHED the Zero lovey that was part of my hook challenge. It will be given to my cousin Ryder ( I really like that name ) due in October. I played with the pictures a little in editing. Its something different. ****** I got on the C2C bandwagon and started a few of my own. It is so addicting!! I love this!  I ran out of yarn for this one........ so I started this one. ( full skein not pictured)  ****** Also, I "dusted off" the Boston Bruin Blanket squares and started sewing them together. Its a bit tricking as you can see.... Why do I punish myself.. hehe my full project list can be found here .
