YOP5 weeks 39 and 40

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend. My fiance had the weekend off so I was unable to get to the computer and post week 39 and it was a good week, I got a lot done! here is week 39.....

I made this cutie to remember my mom's pug Max. He would be 17 this April. My step dad had to place him in a Pug Rescue when it was time for my mom to go to a hospice 5 years ago when she had cancer.

And a few more Hook Challenge projects crossed of my list
I used an F hook for this Gingerbread man bust

And I used an I hook for these bunny coasters . I made these for my fiance and my Easter dinner . (Tater Tot casserole....mmmm)

I also learned a new stitch  that was on my list... Standing Double Crochet. that post is HERE

Week 40 was just as good a week.....

I am almost finished the Stewie Amigurumi. 3 down 9 to go.

I am making a curtain for my porch. For the 2 windows I want to cover (bottom half) I will need 16 more squares.

And another new addition... Dr Who nesting bowls. here is the bowl for the 10th dr.

My plans for April : Finish the Lily pond blanket!!!!! It is not fair to all the beautiful pieces to be apart. I need to finalize a few colors for the lily squares. This week I want to slip stitch along the long panels like the pattern suggests. I should of done it when I was making the panels but I wasn't sure I would have enough Peacock to finish the other blocks.

See ya next week :)

  1. OMG, you're making the Lily Pond blanket? You go girl! It is beautiful but I decided to pass for now. Spring and summer are just too busy for me. You have been going to town! Love the pug...and so sorry about your Mom and her dog. I hope my dogs go before me and then there will be no more as I don't want that to happen to them. The gingerbread man is too cute! And the bunny coasters also. Glad you had a nice Easter and where are the pictures of that blanket???? LOL!

YOP5 week 34

Motivation to finish my list is highly needed!! My hook challenge isn't doing too well. All those projects are holiday related and I've missed a few. Its silly to make Christmas items a few weeks before St, Patrick's day . But I did FINISH something thing week!! Guess how many skeins it took to finish this blanket?

YOP year 5? Seriously?

I can't believe it's year 5 already....... this is my 3rd year participating. The last few days have been productive for me .I made a schedule for the next few months so I stay on track. I STARTED and  FINISHED the Zero lovey that was part of my hook challenge. It will be given to my cousin Ryder ( I really like that name ) due in October. I played with the pictures a little in editing. Its something different. ****** I got on the C2C bandwagon and started a few of my own. It is so addicting!! I love this!  I ran out of yarn for this one........ so I started this one. ( full skein not pictured)  ****** Also, I "dusted off" the Boston Bruin Blanket squares and started sewing them together. Its a bit tricking as you can see.... Why do I punish myself.. hehe my full project list can be found here .
