YOP5 week 41 and Lily Pond Update

Yesterday was my birthday. 36! (f*%#) ! I had a good day. I made my grandmother's stuffed green peppers ( for myself - Jon doesn't like peppers) . So yummy!

My MIL bought me a cake .... she couldn't remember if I was 36 or not so she grabbed and 3 and 0..lol  I'll take 30 :)

On to Lily...
I crocheted blocks 3 and 4 together

a bit of a close up.

Blocks 2 and 5

Block 5 in 3 stages :)

This is one version of block 7. ( before blocking)
This is the other version I am using.

This was my last update last year. I have almost all the blocks made. I need to finish 5 and 7 and then 8.

I want to finish this before the end of the month. I started on May 7 2015.
I really want to make the  Frida's Flowers Blanket but I will only be making one block from each update until I am sure I am happy with my color choice. For the lily, I wish I would of used teal instead of peacock and a less dark of a green. I used Paddy green since that's all I had on hand.

  2. Happy birthday! I just heard about the Lily Pond lately and I am making the Frida's Basket but haven't started yet but I have the yarn. Your Lily Pond is going to be gorgeous! It looks really time-consuming...you're doing a beautiful job!

  3. Woo birthday! I'm only older than you by a couple months (January). And what is it with husbands that don't like peppers?! Particularly the stuffed variety. I need to learn to make them for myself. ::sigh::

YOP5 week 34

Motivation to finish my list is highly needed!! My hook challenge isn't doing too well. All those projects are holiday related and I've missed a few. Its silly to make Christmas items a few weeks before St, Patrick's day . But I did FINISH something thing week!! Guess how many skeins it took to finish this blanket?

YOP year 5? Seriously?

I can't believe it's year 5 already....... this is my 3rd year participating. The last few days have been productive for me .I made a schedule for the next few months so I stay on track. I STARTED and  FINISHED the Zero lovey that was part of my hook challenge. It will be given to my cousin Ryder ( I really like that name ) due in October. I played with the pictures a little in editing. Its something different. ****** I got on the C2C bandwagon and started a few of my own. It is so addicting!! I love this!  I ran out of yarn for this one........ so I started this one. ( full skein not pictured)  ****** Also, I "dusted off" the Boston Bruin Blanket squares and started sewing them together. Its a bit tricking as you can see.... Why do I punish myself.. hehe my full project list can be found here .
